930 engine bay decals

Howdy all

Does anybody know where I can get a set of metallic engine bay decals for a 1980 ROW 930. I see our host has a couple of them but not all.
Cheers

There's a forum member who goes by "Joe Bob". I believe he has a decal business and may be a good source.

One good way to search for parts is to look up the part numbers in the Porsche PET for your year/model and then type the numbers into the Pelican search box.

For example, every sticker that came on 1986-1989 USA models is listed on page 3 -

http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf/originalparts/usa/911_USA_87_89_KATALOG.pdf

And here is a link to the Porsche website that lists all of the available PETs in PDF format -

http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessoriesandservices/classic/genuineparts/originalpartscatalogue/

Rahl,

First, I do not know how exact you want to be on your replacement foil stickers. Originality is an issue for some but not for others.

I am not an 80 Row 930 expert, BUT, there are known inaccuracies for some listed late 70s and early 80s stickers in the Porsche PET pdfs and those that are still available and actually came on the cars. Some of the differences are subtle, others are not. Before you destroy the ones you have on your car, document them. You will at least know what was there to swap out later.

If you do not have any currently on your car check other 80 RoW 930s. With some searching, most all are still available. Before you start buying just figure out what you are willing to accept because some can be rather pricy for what they are.

Bud

Unfortunately the engine bay stickers were removed 18 years ago when I started to strip my 1976 930 in prep for paint. I have since misplaced them; so I do not have the originals to photograph. If I recall there is only one that is different from the 1976 911 engine bay stickers and that would be the tire pressure and size decal.

You can buy directly from Porsche, I have seen Suncoast advertise them before. I have seen good and bad sets on eBay.
