What's this in the back seats door panel?

My guess it's a seatbelt holder??

Another question.

Is there enough room to replace timing cover gaskets without removing engine?

Yes, and in the following linked thread, JFairman gives some good instructions on the basics of how to get the chain box covers off with the engine in the car (what to remove and so forth).

Cam timing question

Regarding your first post - the picture is huge in size and extremely pixelated/distorted (in other words, difficult to see what you are talking about). But despite the state of the pic , according to some of the posters in the following thread, you correctly answered your own question.
