911 Turbo SSSSSSSSSsssssss

I want one,
If i had the money id swap out my Engine and Tranny for the internals of THIS car,
I must admit i think it could be faster than mine

Cant get the insert link to work, but here is a New Turbos being Launched 50 Times flatout to show (that it can be done)

Proof that the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S is unbreakable - YouTube

Unreal!
I guess the only thing I don't like is it is waaaay too easy to drive. You don't even have to drive it at all. Time to hug my 930 ...

My E60 M5 can do 3 launches like that (doing 4.3 sec to 60), and the clutch is gone

Going to go hug both now... M5 and 3.0 ..

That car practically drives itself. Good for 100k miles Okay, I guess that is enough miles/time to have some fun or until the next eight speed or nine speed comes out.

I don't exactly like how it's only available with a PDK. It seems like the good ol' manual transmission is gonna go extinct soon

Just swap out the PDK for a good old 930 box

I think first gear would all of a sudden become a lot more usable

Gives new meaning to the term "$hit eating grin". The dude was doing nasties in his pants. But I guess I can't blame him, gotta be a fun car to drive.

Nice that it doesn't break and is a rocket. Not nice that it's an automatic only and that you can this with 1 hand on the wheel. That's why nearly every supercar I see these days is driven by a poseur who knows not a thing about their cars capabilities. I'll take my 930.

I actually had one for about a yr, incredibly boring.
The car was fast as hell on the track in sport plus mode, 2:05s at the glen on street tires, that's cup car territory.
On the street, it's another story. The first month or two, you constantly use the paddles, then you eventually just leave it in drive like the rest of the lemmings.
The price tag was hard to justify, even for me, at a buck seventy. I sold it and bought a barely used 997.1tt.

whoa. Cant agree here, sorry to be off topic.

The M5 V10 5.0 naturally aspirated '04 F1 layout S85 with the tachometer in a HUD is a crazy fun car. And yes, you can drive it like an elderly person down the boulevard, AND pound it a round a track.

If it wasnt for the crazy fuel consumption and the debated bangle design, I'd say it's my favorite car. Oh and btw it does 318 kph top speed, exact same as a 991 ttS - but with a 2004 design... on the Autobahn it's asking most cars to get out of the way.

And you can take 5 people and your groceries along for the ride. There's hardly more bang for the buck out there!

Im not attacking your beamer by any means,
it just highlights how great the good old 930 is doesnt it?

Go back to 1973/74, BMW introduces the first turbo in its car called the 2003 turbo??
i dont remember, it had the words turbo on the front bumper printesd backwards so the people in front looking in their rear view mirror would see it coming up behind them (cool) it was a kkk turbocharger which gave that car 60hp over its stock counterpart totalling 158hp i think , Porsche then uses same technology, makes 260hp and when Ferrari and Lamborghinis, beamers etc supercars in the mid seventies were doing 0-60 in 8 or 9 seconds the 930 was doing it in 5,
(One road magazine did the euro 76 930 in 4.9 on average all day long no problem)

Mine Will turn 38 years old and i can do 4 and a half second times all day long in her Euro factory form,(i did add msd and ic) ..(and i dont have a roof) but it shows just how tough our cars are, and that theyre the best and and and

I think this AD sums up the Porsche Owner against the general public lol

@Robbbbyg: no offense taken by your comment - and the BMW 2002 was the one with the turbo script flipped for rear mirror reading..

i was referring to tt surgeon..

Simon I think Chris was referring to his Turbo S not his M5

Chris I think you're referring to your 997 Turbo S not 991 unless I be mistaken

ouch my head hurtz

Robby... not to start an intarnet throwdown but there's zero way your car (or mine) is hitting a 4 and a half sec 60... just sayin'

Simon I agree those e60s are veryequal parts a hoot to hoon / aesthetically painful. That motor 'twas brilliant.

I just sold my e39, another colossal HOONMOBILE (Just Not Right and literally one of the reasons I parted w/it - I cannot be left to mah own feebleness d'oh)... that thing would still be roasting allllllllllllllllll of 3rd had I not lifted. bwaHA! It's motor 'twas also sheer brilliance.

Funny buggie's, ///M5s... my 2nd now. Maybe an F10 someday... but therein lies the problem. It'd verymuch suffer from this verysame "syndrome" of being antiseptic in experience.

I do applaud tho the Turbo's deadnutz realiability - and not gonna lie I was kindasorta left for want when the Turbo S hammerage (pretty damn funny btw) failed to include performance degredation measurement

woulda been cool to see how the perf held after such - I'm betting it was pretty spot-on sadly... impressive!
