911 / 930 heat exchangers

Does anyone know the difference between heat exchangers for a 911 Carrera part number 93021102901 differ from 930 heat exchangers part number 93021102103. They look very similar and appear as though the 911 set will fit a 930.

If you put the 911 headers on the 930 there is no provision for any of the turbo components. If you have a 930 you must use the 930 headers.

For one thing, The Carrera's heat exchangers' cylinder head flanges have larger ports, and do not have the rings that insert up into the heads' exhaust ports.

The Carrera heat exchangers will fit 930 ports, the 930 heat exchangers will not (properly) fit Carrera ports. Long studs are required for the Carrera exchangers. The Carrera exchangers will bolt to the 930 J-pipe as they do a 911 catalytic converter. The heater system is different and requires the 930 adapters on the front of the engine that feed from both sides of the engine fan shroud.
