K27 turbo questions

I have a K27 7006 on the car. It came with the car, and I have no idea what condition it's in.
Is there anything I should check for?
Is there anyone who can rebuild/modify this unit.
Is there a better turbo option based on the engine specs?
3.5 twin plug
sc cams
SSI's
DP muffler & intercooler
cis
dynoed at 390 chp @ .9 bar
max power 6,000 rpm.
thanks

Hi,

We can rebuild it, we have the technology. We have the capability to make it better, stronger, faster than it was before...

Seriously though, your 3.5L could stand a lot more compressor wheel with no loss in boost onset.

Checking it: there should be no axial play, and minimal radial play. Check very carefully, very light effort -- press too hard with your thumb against the compressor nut, and you can bend the turbine shaft.

The larger compressor wheel provides another 22-25hp at the wheels -- tested on a modded 3.3L C2T running exhaust and 1.0bar boost.
That car didn't gain any turbo lag, and was only slightly less snappy rolling in and out of throttle on the highway. You probably won't see a drop in response because of your 3.5L.
