Idle problem

Great day, ran up Island and back 200 miles or so.
Car running great dusted a Camaro, and an Equus of all things.
Get to a traffic light near home, car tries to stall.
Idling at maybe 400 rpm.
Throttle response from there is normal.
This is a new one on me, any suggestions guys?

Sounds like you were thrashing it a little. Check you didn't blow an oring or hose off the intercooler. Also, check that you didn't shake a fuel pump relay loose in the front fuse box... It happens.

Do you have an aftermarket intercooler setup that uses hoses to connect to the compressor and/or throttle body? If not, and it is connected OEM style, you can't tell a thing about the condition of the sealing O-rings without removing the intercooler.

Also, have you tried pulling one of the two fuel pump relays while the engine is running (first one, then put it back and pull the other) to see how the engine RPM reacts?

Vote for the pumps too. Air leaks normally increase idle (except hose to distributor on ROW)

would a FP not running make it idle bad but have good throttle response? i would not think so.

blowing an Oring is a good place to start. perhaps another hose was blown lose.

the throttle switch was causing mine to have different idles. it was not allowing the throttle to completely close each time.

i know people jump on the fuel filter a lot but mine just recently dropped my control and system pressures. maybe the long drive did it in.
