No way do you live in Kalifornia!

I had a tech at my last smog test break out a telescopic mirror to see if the smog pump belt was connected or not.

Yes then you would have to keep it, no choice. In my state any car 25 years or older does not require emissions tests, only a safety inspection.

I think the answer is yes...

Ronnie seems to have a certain obsession with pointing out things that he considers to be indicative of homosexuality.

Hmmmmmm, Jacob, it appears that you are "interested"!?!?!? No surprise, though, given the errrr, ummm questionable color of yer ride!!!

Yep, Robby, spot on!

PS - to all of you blue butt bandits out there; I don't actually dislike blue on a 930 (even if it looks "grey" - aka: gay ) but NEVER miss an opportunity to use the term "pooftie".

PSS - where did I learn of that glorious word? I have read ALL of Irvine Welsh's work (don't know how many of you mouth breathers on here know that name, or even read, however)!

Nice library, but I don't see a factory workshop manual, Bruce Anderson's 911 performance handbook, or Wayne Dempsey's how to rebuild or modify your Porsche 911 engine book. If you don't have them, I recommend you add them to the collection.

This forum is primarily a DIY crowd...and not everyone here has built themselves a 934 replica. Most of us have been faced with replacing worn out old factory parts, and aftermarket parts offer better or equal performance for a better price, or original new parts are simply unavailable at any price.
Sorry, didn't see this thread - as - I have been in the garage actually working on my car not just looking at it and reading books about it to pontificate.

try this perspective on for size sometime, eh?:

This is a classic example of what folks would refer to kids in school as: "book smart".

However, here I'd argue the usage / applicability of the word "smart" (d'oh). Painful.

Want to know something about your car? DRIVE IT. WORK ON IT. Period. All the reading of pretty little books and all the looking at of your shiny little car ain't the way certainly...

anywho...

funny stuff Noah...

What's funnier is... I very much do 'that' all the time to folks. In fact, did it just this Sat to a guy in a stunning e36 ///M3 convertible in front of me at a stop sign - rolled beside him and had a brief convo about if he'd consider selling his car. Always looking, I am Never know...

So, how is Genesee cream ale these days? I havn't had any in over 20 years or so. I remember when it was $1.59 a six pack back in the mid seventies when I lived in the finger lakes area of upstate NY.
It was brewed in Rochester, NY and kept refrigerated even in the delivery trucks if I remember correctly.
It tasted ok back then for an American light beer and it supposedly didn't have as much preservatives in it as other beers.

heh... yes, I do VERY MUCH enjoy the outright depravity of cheap beer

don't get me wrong - I LOVE "good" beer

just feels better not spending a mint on my 'habit' 8-) $13.99 for the 30, thankyouverymuch!

honestly... I really enjoy Genny's! They're refreshing and satisfying. Fun fact: they've got other bierz as well, I'd never known that. Try their 12Horse Ale some time... will put a spring in yer step heh heh...

I enjoyed the perspective of ^that pic^. Was sitting there pondering some stuff taking it all in (again / as always... different than how Ronnie TAKES IT ALLLLLLL IN) and found it fun sitting like that. With my feet up, I was pretending I'd mounted the 930 drivetrain in a front-mounted car. Imagine that?

I'd rather not, but thanks (I think?) for sharing that you prefer a "front-mounted" scenario. I suppose this is so you can look into your man's eyes at the errr, ummm, moment of truth?

Holy smokes, Genny Cream Ale. Haven't thought of that in almost 20 years. We used to drink Genny Light, too, in college (Upstate NY). Milwaukee's Best. Black Label. Blatz. I don't know how we muscled down some of that stuff, though I'm still OK with Rolling Rock as a cheap beer.
