Talking Went to a cool Porsche-fest yesterday ... pics inside...

.... up in NE Ohio yesterday. It was a nice event as always, Stoddard Porsche hosts it every spring. The car show was free, good food, a beautiful day and lots of great cars. The swap meet was excellent as well.

People were very friendly and many seemed to flock around the 930 all day long as if they've never seen one before. Mine was one of only two that I saw there, maybe that's why.

Wow that was some nice photos. That blue 964 is stunning! The GT2 RS looks great too! All of them!!

Why would someone take that old 911 that looks to not have been washed for years to a show like that? Selling it?

Looks to me like the owner was trying to give it that "barn find" look thinking it increases the "collector status" of the car. Or the owner is just to lazy to wash it.

I like seeing original unrestored cars, so I think it was cool that he left it like that. The car drew more attention than many of the other cars because it stood out from the crowd (for better or worse). The inside was pretty much a mess too. I'm sure he'll get around to restoring it, then it will blend in with everyone else.

Doubt it, he's probably looking for some sucker to purchase his "very rare authentic dirty barn find" that he dirtied up himself. I bet he's successful in his quest as people eat that stuff up.

Sorry, didn't mean to upset you, I can delete the pics if you like.

No one is upset. Just interesting to see a dirty car like that being at a show. It might be a collectors car etc but it has to look better clean than dirty so why don`t give it a clean.
