Muffler suggestions?

I need to replace the beaten up Borla exhaust on my 1989 Turbo. The car is pretty much stock and will stay that way for the near future. It's only street driven. It doesn't have to be stock quiet, but I don't want something excessively loud either.

Was initially thinking of going with RarlyL8, but I would like my exhaust to look as much as possible like the original one: dual outlet on the driver side. So I'm now thinking about sourcing the original muffler tip and having a custom exhaust built using it.

Any suggestion on which muffler to use? Borla XR-1? Burns? Magnaflow? Are they all pretty much the same quality? Worthy of being installed on a 930?

Thanks!

Fabspeed makes a dual out muffler.

I remember seeing one in the past, but it doesn't appear to be on their website anymore...

In any case, the look is too flashy for me... Like I mentioned, I'd like it to look as close as possible to the stock one.

If you are after the stock look you can use our muffler body and 180. We can provide the slip joint so you can slide on your custom tailpipe.

Single side dual tip, yet doesn't look original at all... I know, I'm picky!

Brian, will send you a PM!

I think borla is the best on these cars.

Tt, I respect your opinion here. May I ask why you say that about borla? Want to change my exhaust. My 86 had a borla and loved the sound. My 88 has a BB and sounds very tame.

I just think the borla is a really clean sound, perfect on a 930. They are just hard to find, that's all.

I have all the others on 930's either now or in the past. For best sound 'll take Brians @ Rarly8 " hooligan" any day with the exit pipe cut straight not at a angle. No more restrictive whoosh like with most others ( more power ) instead will really roar when in the upper RPMs @ WOT, that even Ferrari lovers admire.

Sure would be fun to crack a stock muffler open and slip this inside, exiting the stock tip.
