My 1976 lightweight turbo 911 looking for a driver

Hi Guys,

I realize this might be in poor taste as it really offers nothing other than a little entertainment and some pictures, but after what went through yesterday with a guy that "just had to have the car" I wanted to cross post my car that is looking for a new owner in the event that somebody is looking.

I really want this to go to a good home with a driver that understands what it is and how to use it:

QUOTE from AD (after yesterday):
"For the record:

this car is a DRIVERS car

this car is NOT a $100k restoration
this car is NOT a garage queen

this car was built for one purpose, to GO FAST (and look good doing it!)

this car is mechanically 100%, drive it as hard as you want, take care of it, and it will last forever.

this car has a professional "race car" paint job......meaning if you get 1-2 feet from the car you will see a few small defects. Can they be easily corrected? YES, would I waste the money doing it NO....buy more gas and drive the car.

The car was built in the style of a vintage RSR to give you THAT feeling, it is very well mannered on the street, very powerful and would be an outstanding car to drive weekends, to/from/on track, etc.

If this car fails to put I smile on your face, you are DEAD.....I will not show the car to anyone else that wont go for a ride!

I am open to offers from serious people that are looking for a great car to DRIVE at a reasonable price."

1976 turbo 911 professionally built, lightweight, track/street

Kevin

Nice looking car, it's got to be a blast, even though I have to say I'm not a fan of the modified ball joint on the front A-arms. If that rod end ever breaks it's going to be spectacular.

I love everything about except the front bumper.

Kudo's for being an honest seller describing what the car is and what it isnt. GLWS.

The guys at Dawe's were raving about your car. I'm sure it was done to top notch specs. I'm sure the right buyer will appear;-)

seriously cool build

cars like this often have me considering selling mine and buying that

hood fitment to fenders / bumper could be better, but the interior really kicks ass

love the color

er... 420hp... on the OE intercooler?

D'oh! $30k hit... for... uh... 381mi? Eeeegads. I want sommawhat you be a schmokin! 8-)

kidding aside, neat car and GLWS

That car is Bad Ass.

It's a Raw 930 RSR Road & Track Car. Around 2000 lbs wet 400hp / 400tq to the wheels Race car / minimalist interior and exterior

I was at the shop, when it was a work in progress.

I would love to have that car. The front bumper / spoiler is a custom unit based on the 1974 turbo RSR. The rear flares bolt on with cam locks and are custom molded to allow an addition 1” of lowering without rubbing….they are about 13” wide.

Actually Kevin, your OEM Turbo Tail is on my car.

According to Dawes..regarding the lower control arm modification:

"They have done 50+ sets of those arms on race cars and have not had (1) single failure!!!"

Would be interesting to know the sale price - add to the "notable recent sales" thread?
