993 na to turbo
Hi just seeing what would be the best compression ratio for custom pistons for 3.6 993 engine for twin turbo conversion I was thinking 8.5 to 1. Also what brand of forged piston set would you recommend
Thanks Josh |

pistons
Dear Josh,
the piston brand I use since a very long time ( 15 years ) is the German manufacturer REC. These pistons are by far the best I ever got my hands on - zero issues all this years ! The are made from a special Material called Mahle 124. This Material is the best for high power / endurance application and was used by Porsche for all 934/935/959/962 and all RSR engines up to the latest GT2 evo generation. It is no longer available from Mahle ! So the REC pistons are also getting a specific heat treatment giving them a very high level of geometrical stability under load / pressure and temperature. This pistons are no " shape shifters " like all others which got just the simple T 6 heat treatment. Under the line they never fail and are bullet proof under all circumstances. Even the German car manufacturers are using them in their sports / racing and prototype departments. All BMW Motorcycle and Porsche pistons are exclusively made for Edelweiss-Motorsport, if you like me to send an offer do not hesitate to contact me. Delivery time is approx 6 weeks - drawing and/or sample is welcome. Best reg. Dirk https://de-de.facebook.com/edelweissmotorsport |
