That is actually my car shot back in September. The tuner's friend is a professional photographer so a quality shoot. Ran out of fuel at the top end and had serious boost creep. Sorted out with a Bosch 044 rear fuel pump, a new battery (volts for the injectors at max duty cycle) and twin Tial 46m wastegates. A couple of photos attached.

Very nice.

Curious though, what is near your fan pulley? Looks like a bat?

PO had upgraded engine tray to a cab variety, so it is a damper.

Howabout a stocker run for baseline? Manymanymany moons (and mods!) ago @ 4/08... stock minus gutted cat and EBC @ 0.7bar:

243whp / 276wtq, or about deadnuts on the OEM chp / ctq claims

Ran it again 3/11, then with RarlyL8 hooligan dual-out, Garretson IC, and EBC @ 0.8bar, no vid but here's the delta's for comparo:

286rhp / 320wtq, gains of 43whp / 44wtq from the nominal mods (yeah, I know - my fueling SUCKS)

pretty much spot-on results all around, as expected

I'm eager to get my POS back on the rollers now with headers, big turbo, cams, BLWUR, dual 044's, MSD, and 0.92bar... my gut is somewhere in the vicinity of 360whp / 400wtq (74whp / 80wtq gains)... or something like 420chp / 470ctq.

btw...

...it's kindasorta somewhat important to note the type of dyno yer on in this thread - granted, I can read dynojet on the screen in a few but it's worth pointing out.

Mustang dyno here, same place, same weather (also important variables, obviously)...

Here's my '85 Euro doing a baseline setting in stock form with my muffler added.
300WHP/330TQ

How do you upload these so the picture shows instead of just the link?

Good god all I had to do was right click on the video, geesh.
Thank you Jesper, I like it.
I do not know what type dyno he uses. I do all of my testing at this shop. The stock engines are all dead nuts on the factory ratings which has always surprised me. Every mod I do is verified and they all ring true to expected results. The Gray Ghost engine right now has SC cams and a very detailed tune which combined picked up 23WHP. This car impresses me for being basically stock. I am working on "going big" and quite anxious to experience passing the 400WHP barrier.

Not a 930, but.....

My first time on a dyno (Dynojet) at the Austin Cars and Coffee. PO did 431whp with a stock everything Carrera 3.2 except 3.4L 7.5:1 CR P&C's and a 60-1 HiFi turbo at 1 bar and Protomotive chip with the stock Motronic ECU.

Here I am at 1.4 bar using a Borg-Warner S366 using MegaSquirt II and 80lb injectors.

Unfortunately, the dyno had a major malfunction, and did not read properly. The owner believes a grounding problem. It read from 325 to 386whp with the 4kRPM up part of the line not showing anything but scattered dots - that is exactly the point the boost came on. At 4K, it was showing 300whp though, which I think is probably right? Not sure.

Going to have to find another shop. At least it was fun seeing the people in the crowd jump when the boost came on! That was great. The trailer acted like a huge drum amplifying the raucous coming out of the 3.5" tailpipe and straight-through muffler.

Hey Paul, thanks for the compliments! Believe it or not, I'm one-wheel-peel. The 285 Sumitomos are now 1.5 years old and are starting to not be able to hold. Before that, traction was great. Now, it'll haze in 4th on poor roads.

I think the mobile dyno is awesome. Too bad it went awry.

BTW, my car's a beater. Looks decent from 10ft.

Not sure if I want to restore on go full on race car....

Just a little ol' 3.3L with mildly ported heads, small cams, and bolt-ons.
Plus our EFI, fully Flex Fuel tuned between 91-octane and e85.

600 HP on a 3.3 that is fantastic. Wow

Maybe someday, hopefully

Besides time and money what could possibly be holding one back

Could you give more detail on the build? How much boost was that run? I'm curious what mine could do with efi...

Thanks, Paul!

dos -- on paper, kinda like yours.
- mildly ported heads, twin-plug; port-matched intake manifold
- rarlyl8 headers
- TK True Dual muffler
- TK Billet FIWC
- Garrett GT35R
- factory SC cams
- fuel system upgraded to be ethanol-compatible (replace rubber with ultra-light PTFE, etc)
- TK's AEM-based EFI: sequential injection & twin-plug CDI ignition, Lambda, dual knock, e85 flex fuel, additional monitoring/feedback (FuelP, OilP, OilT); custom TK-built plug-and-play Mil-spec wiring harness

Regularly runs 1.2bar on 91-octane west coast crap gas, no problems even in 114F summertime.
A little more boost on e85, but not much.

540hp / 550tq at the wheels. Yup, more torque than hp, and tons of it as low as 3,000rpm.

Fully detailed, fully bad@ss car: engine, close-ratio G50, full suspension, 17" Fuchs... The whole package.

Chris, do your customers ever quarter-mile their cars?

Just curious what these cars will do.

It has a lot to do with the driver, but MPH you really cannot mess up too bad.
