Help with Adjustable WUR

Anybody in the Atlanta area who can help me sort out my fuel issues? I just got my top end done twice. Found a broken headstud during the break-in period and they rebuilt it again. I just got the car back but it idles around 12AFR and at cruise it gets up to around 15.2. My mechanic said that's ok but it's starting to backfire and run a bit rough. I did have the WUR rebuilt to a modified WUR by Brian at Rarelyl8 as well as the fuel head. Also new injectors. My mechanic has tried countless time to smooth out the AFR but at this point I really don't think he understands the modified WUR. He believed the fuel head was an issue and swapped it out with a good one but the same issue remains. My mechanic is a great guy but I got to try something different to get this resolved.Trying to figure out how to work the modified WUR. Anyone in the Atlanta area want to help a guy out?

Thanks,
Sean

Sure. Here's my setup:

1988 930S
3.3 liter / heads increased to 38 / port and polished
B&B Headers/Garrett full bay intercooler/GT35R turbo/Rarly8 dual out muffler/964 Cams/rebuilt fuel head for increased flow(temporarily replaced with stock fuel head for testing) & Adjustable WUR

Got the top end rebuilt with new turbos / fuel head & adjustable WUR / exhaust / injectors / clutch / clutch assembly / other items. This was done by a well known mechanic in the area with many years of Porsche experience.

Thanks

I've seen your car around a few times when I worked in Peachtree Corners and a couple of times at Caffeine and Octane. It looks great, sorry to hear it is running rough.

Thanks. It's been a rough ride so far. The cars been in the shop 10 out of the past 12 months. And more than half the time I've owned it. Probably spent more time and money into my cars then my kids....but not my wife . She's in a whole different league. If my wife is reading this...just kidding. But with that said, still love my car and plan to keep it for a while.

i had to cut the first one short.

i would set the warm CP to spec for the fuel head you are running. then i would adjust the idle mixture to 13.5. then i would check the cruise AFR and how it drives at a STEADY speed at around 2500 rpm and 3k. if the AFR is still lean, i think you may have an air leak. you dont need to go on boost, just check steady cruise speed for now.

mine runs like yours. rich idle, lean cruise and does not run smooth at steady speeds. i have been fighting air leaks at the intake.
just curious, plastic or aluminum injector blocks?

O2 sensor?
