My 930 Story

My 930 story is up! Check out this link: My 930 on Voyager Shift

========================

I just want to let you boost freaks know that there will be an online article about my 930 ownership as part of the series called "The Neighborhood Garage" by Voyager Shift which in the founder's words "is an automotive themed site that focuses on the most interesting cars and people in the industry", link: Voyagershift. I talked to the founder of Voyager Shift at a recent local cars & coffee about my 930 and my experienced with it. Unbeknowst to me he was interested in my car and posted a photo on Instagram. I later contacted him and he expressed interest to do a photoshoot and a story on my 930. This article will supposedly be posted on his website sometime later this week. I will include a link once he notifies me of his publishing.

Meanwhile here's a photo of my car that was on Instagram which I posted earlier, Photo of 930 on Instagram

One teaser photo from a photoshoot done yesterday.

Wonderful car, but never understand why you guys get rid of the factory FUCHS. The 930 looks the best in Fuchs.

Bigger contact patch, availability of tires, better performance.

None of which matters if the extent of your driving is between your garage and the nearest cars 'n coffee event. If you track, or push the car hard on the street, it does matter.

I agree that nothing looks better than Fuchs, but the wide body can accommodate much wider tires/wheels than what the factory specified. OE wheels do not really fill the flares. My solution: I kept the factory Fuchs and have a set of modern forged wheels for performance - switch between them depending on usage and my mood.

There was a time when I thought Fuchs were the ugliest wheels ever made.

I mean really thought they were horrid.

Now, they've grown on me.

But, I can tell you the world outside of Porsche thinks they are ugly and remind them on VW Bugs.

As the saying goes, "just saying"...

Thanks guys! It's great to know that most of us are like minded...appreciating other modified 930's and it's always a pleasure to learn about its story.
