Well, I don't have the ability to make one as nice as the anodized aluminum one you pictured earlier. That's pretty nice. I pictured myself using that space to mount gauges or switches. Your delete plate is too nice for that.

Doug, picked up the one our host sells. It blends in well to the rest of the dash and the fit is snug. I had no other intended uses for it other than to fill the space where the radio once was. It seems plenty robust to be able to hold a gauge or two if that's your plan. On the plus side, it took me less than half a day to install it.

Thanks OldSpool87, I'll check that out because I really don't like looking down and seeing that plastic one in there. Most of the time it has vibrated around and is crooked. I'd almost rather have the empty hole there...

Doug,

Just to be clear, the one I installed is made of a black, textured plastic. However, it blends in very well and creates a nice clean line.

I went to a plastics company, and got a thin sheet of matte/satin black plastic for free.

Cut to size, and simply used 4 dots of Permatex Ultra-Black RTV to hold it in.

If I need to remove, it peels right off and the RTV peels off easily too being really thin.
