17 inch fuchs 84 930

i found some linea corse 17 inch fuchs(same as they sell here on pelican) used from a guy who out his 16 inch fuchs back on. anyone running them on their 930? its the 7.5 front and 9 inch rears. wanted to check before i bought them. i assume they fit with the standard spacers? or what spacers do i need? thx for the input

I had them on my 79 930. The fronts sat a little inboard even with the factory spacers. The rears fit great. There were runout issues on both sets (original order and the replacement) and I gave up. I don't know where they are made now, but back then they were made in the Phillipines by Rota and were gravity cast.

J930, keep in mind your front offset requirements will be different than WPOZZZ.

If possible, I would put them on a balancer to check for runout before buying them.

I'm not home to check but I think mine were made in Italy. I'll check tomorrow. Needed very few weights to balance perfectly.

I had the 2nd batch of wheels, so it was the end of 2007/beginning 2008.

these were made last year? so maybe things have changed? i will advise after I mount them. i just could not justify spending 3 K on rims. to many other priorities in life at this point. Rear tires on my BBS 15's have worn very quickly and i can't find them here or in Europe any more. Pirelli is making a replacement but the two rears cost more then 4 new rims?? yeah i think there is point where you cut your losses and move on. i am there!!

I was in the market for 17" wheels and looked up those linea's about a year and a half ago...they were made in the philipines...I did not go with them, and have nothing more to offer...I do believe you get what you pay for tho!!!

the rims are being delivered today, i will get them on Saturday and post some pics as well as a report on any vibration issues

got them on this morning. the pelican that sent them to me had just bought a 87 carrera and the PO had the original set of fuchs so he put the originals back on and sold me these. they had the potenza r11s already mounted and balanced. took it out on the freeway this morning and had not vibration at all. had her up to 100 for a mile or so and nothing... i think i need some spacers for the front as they sit a little in the fender well. anyone know the size of spacer used to flush it closer to the wheel well? I am going to put out a feeler on the 15 inch BBS rims i pulled off. they are in perfect condition as far as scratches etc. will need some touch up paint in the centers as the black is flaking off in places but the metal is perfect. the new fake fuchs are everything i had hoped for. here are some pics
