EFI Conversion Dilemma

Ok guys, I want to do a EFI conversion on a 930 motor that I am building. I seen guys run the Carrera 3.2 intake, they also have to do a lot of fab work for the inner cooler ect. I seen very few who ran the stock 930 intake. I'm looking to get between 400 and 500hp just for a fun weekend car.

I am running twin plug and using AEM EMS

So, whats your question?

If you can use the factory intake, and still achive your goals??

Yes, you can, and that has been proven numerous times.

Nope. The pancake intake maxes out at 399hp.

Sorry, you must use a Carrera intake.

Just kidding. . Chris Carroll has posted many high hp pancake'd engines.

with the pancake manifold you have room to stick a pizza in there and keep it warm.

I would definitely talk to Chris @ TK. The route you are contemplating is the route I am going as well. It is entirely possible to hit your goals with the pancake manifold with the right porting and cams. He is a wealth of knowledge and can steer you in the right direction.

- Chris.

I think I could get maybe 600 with diet maple syrup.

Any one know where I can send my rods out to get redone?

I have the stock manifold(machined of course) with Patrick Racing blocks with the fuel rails. I'm at 410whp with .8 bar. Turbokraft I believe sells the blocks as well. Here's the room you will have with the "pancake"

Why not consider ITB and plenums? That would be my first choice

Makes hell of a torque from start.
I'm considering swapping my carrera intake for ITB.
