Thanks for that info Kenik. I wasn't aware we could do that. I have an old Wa plate from 1963 which is my birth year. Now that I think about it perhaps it's not such a cool idea.
Fuch, I'm getting old

The only caveat: the plate you use has to be the correct version for the year of your car.

You've only got five years on me, 70'sbush - not older enough for me to call you "Daddy"!

Scott, wow that paint sure looks good in those pics - black is my favorite color for these cars by far (even though mine is white).

Ah, might be a no-go then. Unlike the one in your pic mine has the year 1963 stamped in the upper right corner. And yes, very funny re: SS

BTW Rawnknees, don't be shy just cause it's a public forum. You know who you're "Daddy" is.

Still gonna be awhile before you and I can validate that assumption, Shannon. Not that long awhile...but awhile.

Scott,
Your wheels look great!
And what are the odds of another dark colored 930 in Central Virginia that also got center-black wheels this Winter??
Cheers, Iain

I too love black turbos. The car is a driver so in person it's got patina that doesn't show up in the pics but overall it presents well.

Iain - nice car! We should try and meet up at one of the local C&C events and look over the cars. What are the specs on your wheels?

Scott,
Wheels are 18" Speedline Corses.
10"w front, 12"w rear.
Running Conti Extreme Contacts: 235/40 front, 295/35 rear.
14mm spacer up front, no rear spacer.
Raised spindles up front approx. 40mm
Must admit that I don't have the specific offsets, but can probably dig them out if you need them.

I'll pm you for local C&C info.
Cheers, Iain

Also very nice. Raised spindles are one of the few things I have left to do with the suspension. I bet that 40mm works well with the 18" wheels.

Did you have to do any work to get the 12" rear Speedlines to fit with 295 tires?

The only work done was the rear fender lip trimming done by the PO.
Looks like about .25" trimmed off.
