I'd really like more than this little teaser if possible?

That's what a strip-it-down-to-the-tub paintjob looks like. Everything is removed, tub blasted and sprayed, everything brand new or refurbished goes back on. When it is done it is better than anything that came from the factory. Phil's '76 930 is getting this treatment right now as well. I'll post some more pictures as it goes together.

Hope Wayne doesn't mind having his mug on the 'net. The silver Martini tribute is on the right. Stripes have not yet been added. Car that Wayne is working on is a Rally clone.

What is the martini tribute?
The Martin (& Rossi) cars were 70's/80's era race cars that had signature blue and red striping on a silver or white body color. I think they were as much the period as Kremer and DP. This one will weigh in the low ~2000lbs with a 3.6L for motivation. Should be a hoot! The Rally car has a cammed 3.0L and is owned by Trissl.

It's an 83 SC, I decided to fit all steel 930 panels during restoration rather than backdate. Engine is 3.0 with ITBs, sequential injection with coil on plug, DTA S80 ECU and Tubular headers, 2 in 1 out Exhaust.

Wheels are 17" CCW 3 piece LM20s

I still have to install the rear lights and interior.

Paint is Prussian blue

Unfekkin` believable!!! As many of you know I sold my car, which was picked up by a transport carrier a couple of weeks ago. I don't know what happened and perhaps I shouldn't even care since it's not mine anymore, but I can't help myself, as a car such as this deserves better.

To be clear, I'm not passing judgement on, or pointing any fingers at any individual or company, as I can't know what occurred to cause the damage but it sure looks like a case of gross mishandling at some point in the shipping process. At the end of the day I guess it's not really any of my business, but since I was sent a photo of the damage I figure it's mine to share with the 930 community.

Anyway, I delivered the car to the hauler looking like this (sans custom straight pipe) ...

[IMG][/IMG]

... and somewhere during the process of getting from here to whatever port it's being exported from it ends up looking like this ...
