LM3Y - Garnet Red Metallic. Sienna is really pretty too!

Check back a couple of pages I posted a few pics of it.

I haven't had a chance to drive it yet. The weather here has been foul. Temps in the 30's-40's and this nasty mist.

I will certainly get some video of the car in action!

It's an air-cooled engine's wet dream out there. All that cold, wet air just waiting to get sucked into your intake and operate at much better efficiency than normal ...

Completely agree. However, the ground is damp from the mist and 2nd gear on nice dry concrete is interesting to say the least

I will wait for it to dry out.

This weekend we are expecting sunny and temps in the 30's. Should make for an interesting drive!

I'll say -- 30s and dry will be awesome, if you can get the tires warm! Plug in the GoPro and an external mic. :-)

And I think I hate your car now.
I just test drove a perfectly respectable EFI 3.4L making 465whp, and it was perfectly lethargic compared to yours. Thanks for nothing, bub!

Yep, the current temps here are great, if not a little on the cold side for non-climate-controlled work, butt the 99% humidity sux Paul'sballz - hard to believe that can't escape the humidity around here even in the winter!

Chris/HamSammich930Tewl - so nice to see your rollin'-on-dubz, ballz to the wallz beasty at home! I'm looking forward to hearing more about it, and REALLY looking forward to a ride (not like THAT! ) at some point in the future (before it heats up around here since you decided to take the swampazz approach to yer build!)!

You have to go through and change out 2-3-4 for it to be fun again.
Starting with a Carrera box, you only have to add a Turbo 5th for a low rpm freeway cruising gear.

Sure, the G50/50 is sturder with a larger ring gear, but we've never broken the Carrera G50, even with 600ft.lb. torque and really wide tires.

And the G50/50 is nearly a full 25mm longer, so a bigger PITA to fit into the pre-89 chassis. That pretty much commits you to either cutting out the center of the torsion bar housing (lots of fab + coil-overs), or converting to a G50/50 t-bar housing. No fun.
Huh. Good to know!

Man, I am really hoping I never join the 'conditions have to be perfect' club. This is why I buy all-season tires
And yes, I've had cars with 600+ horsepower and 12-inch-wide rear wheels as daily drivers. why do you ask?

Got to drive the car today. It is literally warp speed in any gear. I love it!

Yeah, that's more like pic of the year. Just amazing.
I looked for over a year before finding my 965 i/c but I'd easily trade it and a kidney for that piece of art. Not to mention those ITBs.
