Great, free-hand craftsmanship idea - love it!

That’s an excellent idea for the base. I love that exhaust. I’ve been wanting to do that exact design for awhile. First time I’ve actually seen it on a turbo. Looks killer.

Showing your skill on that valance! I had a hard enough time cutting and installing a stock metal valance over my zork. Is that a dual zork or tips? Been wanting to go to a dual center outlet like that.

Here's a better shot of the dual zork. I made it a few years back. I bought the materials from Columbia River Mandrel Bending. I went dual because I was adding baffles to take the edge off, but didn't want any more back pressure. The holes in the bottom of the pipes were to hold the baffles in. One of the screws came out and the baffle blew out somewhere. So made new baffles and welded them in.
Here's a progress shot of the valance.

Awesome work on the lower valance! Are you worried at all about the heat from the zork tubes discoloring or even melting the panel? Do you have a plan for a heat shield?

I plan to cut a rectangular opening on each side of the exhaust cutout, and use adhesive back heat resistance cloth to cover the back. The valance is bolted to the bottom of the bumper so I can remove it in case I run into heat problems.

that heat resistant adhesive cloth lasts until about the first rainstorm. I had the rear valence the heat shield and about everything else in the back near the muffler covered with that. The aircraft grade stuff from aircraft spruce. It only lasted a few months. the glue would fail then it fell out wile going down the road.

We must be using different stuff. I applied it to the f/g bumper on our race car a bunch of years ago and it's still there. I also used it on my metal valance for the bus and it's still holding up. The last stuff I bought was from Summit Racing.

Not nearly as loud as a Harley. It does keep people from tailgating me.

we worry about noise but I just cant understand why big harleys with straight pipes get a pass.

I am planning for a zork on my 930 conversion.

good work on the fabrication.

Also as loud as the DP muffler ( a empty can) with a better sound imo.

For me, it's not so much that some {most} Harley's are so loud...it's the fact that they are so loud while making pathetic horsepower!!!!

Noise is ok, if you have the HP to back it up.

Hell, I live 1-1/2 miles from a race track...I'm used to noise.

Had a great day of racing the Vette and Cobra at a roll racing event at Pocono Raceway, but when I got home I had the urge to take grandpa out. What a car! Happy July 4th all

Thanks so much - I think it turned out great if I do say so myself. I know this isn't POTD, but indulge me a little
