Thanks

My homemade two part rotisserie

The rotisserie makes it a lot easier to rotate the car over and get to every spot, works well for the paint prep as well. For painting top section goes off.
Lower frame that attach to car alone tip to 45 degree on the sides. With top section it rotates 360.
I delivered and picked up the car on it, it came really handy in the process

930 Knotts Island Ferry NC

Drove the 930 down to Cape Hatteras OBX from Virginia Beach. We took the Knotts Island - Currituck Ferry in Jan 2020 on the return trip. Great ride.

I believe original custom made, but not sure. Original the front struts boxes was build in by Hans Mandt (who was a legendary 934 Le-Mans mechanics among others) to the car back in 1992. The 1977 930 raced at Daytona, Sebring and other race tracks up till 2006. I now reinforced the boxes a little bit, replaced some welds and added extra stiffness underneath the boxes. I went through the entire chassis, and made it to my preferences

It will have two engines. The stock 1977 930 OE engine, and a test-mule engine for the race track. No idea on the latter, but a 72/73 or 76/73mm turbo on pump gas is on the table. Not decided on the inlet plenum setup yet, it will properly be either one of three options considered: ITB's with 2 x DBW, or 2 x DBW throttle bodies on two plenums, or the simple single DBW ported carrera manifold setup :-) Engine assembly starts in hopefully appr. 6 month (good time for paint to cure) when I have finished some of my other projects

SpennyB has done the single DBW e-throttle on a Carrera manifold, works quite nicely.

We've done both single and dual e-throttle motors on ITBs. Great way to go, eliminating a lot of idle vacuum plumbing, and giving you the ability to "tune" the throttle response and driveability.
