Dang IMR-Merlin.

I have got to stop looking at what you are doing. or once I do get started on the 930 I am afraid I'll never get it done with all the great ideas I am seeing on this forum.

So homesick for rural Iowa you had to go back to Fall City?

looks like a lot of hammer and dolly work with some annealing

I started with a hammer and dolly (well, several dollies) then used a shrinking disk and finally moved onto a light slapping spoon. The slapping spoon is like magic for smoothing it all out.

It is looking pretty good but I still have more to do. You can barley see it in the first picture but there is a slight crease that runs up the flare perpendicular to the wheel well from the deepest part of the dent. I have to bring that down before I can prime it.

I used to park in a shared storage space and the guy next to me with a Corvair race car (who does that?) squeezed over the line into my spot.

Over the line! by willtel, on Flickr

My Bronco has no passenger side mirror (makes it lighter) and I kissed it with the bumper when I was backing out. I should have hit the damn Corvair. Just think of how much I've devalued my 930!

It would probably be wise to just sell it to a bone-yard at this point as that fender dent has rendered the car utterly worthless!

well .... I have had this for a year now, but had to divert my attention to finishing the 951. go to first DE next weekend with it.

after initially starting to just fix the damages, decided I really want to apply all I have learned on my other projects into making this 930 something special for me. so it will take a bit of time and lots of $$$.

and to all on this forum from whom I will steal ideas ... as they say, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.

Spent all day yesterday attempting to tune this damn thing, got it close but still not perfect. Took a video for you guys! Make sure you watch at 1080p.

Forgive the wire mess, my 02 sensor decided to take a ***** half-way through the morning.
