Wow thats a beautiful place. Looks like you're at or near the top of a mountain.
FWIW, the exif data is still in your picture and I can see that you took this pic last Saturday 6.20.15 at 7:03pm with an iphone 6

Blue Ridge Parkway at Elk Pasture Gap just west of Asheville, NC.

Actually, it was 8:19 AM EST.

We had just climbed 151 up the mountain and BOOM, this vista!

Ah, it's in military time in your iphones exif data and I must have converted it wrong.
I use a program called opanda iexif2. It's a free download from the internet and being a photographer sometimes I like using it to see what kind of camera people used when they post pictures on internet forums.
It usually includes GPS data if there is any in the picture file so you could figure out where the picture was taken, but I don't see any in yours.

i know it's geekish and boring to most people to mention and post this stuff but fwiw, here's a copy of the exif data in your top picture with the white porsche.

Beautiful!

I have been there in 2012. Took the scenic route all the way to DC.

Thanks... It's great to get such positive feed back from this forum. It's been a long 5 year journey and all done in a 2 bay garage in NH by me and a little help from some friends.

Found this 1980s 930 greeting card in my roll-away tool chest. It's an artists illustration, entitled "Reflective Moment" by John Puchalski.
