In the cul-de-sac of my 16-house street, with my neighbors.

We WOT caravan'd 30mi to a 500 car weekly car show here... Just Not Right:

(^930 makes great 16oz Solo cup cupholder^)

Quite the spectacle we made entering together with my Zork, the Raptor's downpipe dump, and the Cobra's s/c whine and open exhaust. The crowd behind mine was like moths to a light the moment I shut it down lol.

Goooooood tiiiiiiiiiimes... my neighbors RULE.

^NICE Richard!^ Good luck.

Ronnie - lololozorz... had to test a DVD player here this week, I popped "that" in go figure. Hadn't seen in yearrrrrrrrrrs. Hilarity.

Will... great Q about the Cobra / 930 lineup. I'll first say that his car is _NASTY_... wicked nasty. All stock save for the awesomely hollow sounding exhaust. That thing is a MONSTER, brutally fast and capable.

We lined up on the highway a couple of times and traded some WOT blowbys. I mostly had him, typically by a car length / gradual pull... but he was right fookin there. He took me once, got on it before I did and was in boost lag a bit. Think he's ~ 390/390 crank, and ~ 3400lbs.

M3 was somewhat less a contender, but hung damn strong fersure.

Fuuuuuuuun JNR stuuuuuuuuuuuuuf... muwhaahahahahaa... 8-)

Clutch replacement is done and the car is driving the best it ever has - 4,000km next week will be no problem thanks to Brent at Hunter Motorsports.

Talk about awesome customer service - less than a day for a clutch change including waiting 19 hours flying the clutch kit in from the west coast to Toronto. If he'd had the kit in stock he would have had it done while I played a round of golf.

hmmm, we're on a Red roll here... 930potd - Surgeon's Hands: co-lowered the crank & rods into Alfa/SC John's '82 up the road here tonight... my first hands-on foray into innerbits of a a flat6's soul. Good stuff - his DIY project is coming along nicelike!

Capped off ze endeavor with a dusk store run in search of 30-odd 13mm Nyloc's so we could mate the case half's... 4 stops later we scrounged maybe eleventeen? D'oh. Least John pop'd his 911(930) cherry, thought the shot of motivation in the arm would assist his project mood.

No doubt, and nice to see that not everyone is turning into a 930 Q-tipper, too!

Talk about different strokes (not those "strokes", Paul!!!) for different folks; I do the opposite and try to stop all outside air from entering the cabin - part of the quest for the ultimate, shrinkage inducing a/c, buttofcourse!!!

^^^ No doubt!

Speaking of fresh air ducting, where I live, today's high was 98-100 and tonight's low is mother effin 80 degress - nothing fresh about the air in these here parts this time of year.

And with the DIY and a/c subject in mind - my pic of the day. I just finished installing this 10" (there you go, Paul) fan on the tail condenser. I was in the middle of wiring it when I snapped this pic to send to someone. The fan is powered from the same, 15 amp, fused relay that I use for the fender condenser's fan, the power supply comes from the starter solenoid lug (Jim Fairman's excellent idea) and triggered by the compressor clutch. I did this to try to help speed cabin cooling at startup and to help cooling during low RPM driving in high ambient temps (mid-upper 90s). And of course, because I seem to love tinkering with a/c systems.

Pay particular homage to the service cover - have had it for about three years, use it regularly, and think it's worth its weight in gold (especially like the tool/parts pockets along the back)

Also, bow before the Snap-on ratcheting screwdriver with a 1/4" socket drive in it, also visible in the pic. Getcha suuuummmmmmm!!!!

Ronnie +1 on the air entering concept. I am in the process of making a block off plate to go behind the hood air vent for summertime as I have witnessed hot air( ever so light) coming through the vents windows up all flaps closed. We must do all we can to help this undersized ac system. I will be doing my final ac upgrade which consists of a 964 condenser with fan for the front fender. Already have the rear fender done. Here's my potd.
