Clutch pedal assist spring broke.. what is the right replacement?

I have an '87 930 and the clutch pedal assist spring broke.. The spring has a threaded hook for the pedal end and a barrel not so you can adjust the length ( a crimped on threaded end is affixed to the actual spring). Part nos. 930-423-005.

This part has been MFD... will the following Pelican part 911-423-305-05 work ( 1977 turbo ) for my car?? Has anyone used this spring on a second gen turbo ( 86-88)?

Thanks

Just have it tig welded back together. They don't make that one anymore. I've heard of people putting the non adjustable length or tension blue SC spring in place of it that may be made still but I don't know how well that would work.
After tig welding that it should be stronger where it broke than it was before.

I am using the blue SC? Carrera? spring and it seems to be working fine. Hard to install, but works so far for me.

Great I see the Blue spring in other parts diagrams.. Also searched the forum and got great ideas on speeding the install. Looks like I will be buying the solid spring.

Thanks for the reply... to all.

My car came without that spring. Put it on, and can't say I can tell any difference at all...

Success!!

Ordered the Blue spring from our Host who BTW would not say if it would work or not...

Anyway used the washer shim trick connected the front hook first and with some pedal depression was able to work the back post onto the spring..... Not as nice as the original adjustable spring in the prior pic but quite honestly I think it is a better heavier gauge steel....
