When my car is done, you should let me guest post regarding the folly of pursuit of "enough" power.

Absolutely, I am always open to not feeling like the only crazy one (outside of this forum that is).

Oh no, you're likely one of the less crazy ones. I am really looking forward to diagramming the slippery slope, thus bearing my soul and exposing some "real crazy".

Let's just say it has gotten so bad I stopped counting. And it all started by deciding that a great deal on 8.5:1 CR pistons was too good to pass up.

Like I said, a little bit more than too much is always just enough.

All of the "boost creep" (see what I did there...scope creep, boost creep? LOL) is easily encapsulated by one very simple takeaway. If you f--k with your car and end up with a setup that is going anywhere north of 350HP, you're immediately obligated to buy a BTR clutch setup to the tune of $2500, if you value your clutch leg.

That lesson alone should be enough to set context for anyone considering "upgrades". That slap to the wallet is what put me over the edge.

Happy new year to you as well.

This sentence piqued my interest:

"In the next installment, Christmas comes late to the 930's gearbox."

Will you give us a hint as to what's coming? Perhaps close ratio gears?
