My New Shop

Not sure if I am allowed to do this here, but since I've been around awhile maybe the mods will cut me some slack. Or at least move this to the correct spot.
About 3 months ago my wife and I took the plunge to open our own shop called BreitWerks doing Porsche Engine Rebuild and Restoration projects. The entrepreneur in me just couldn't do it working for someone else anymore.
I put this thread in the Turbo section because that is where my first love and most Pelican friends hang out. We rebuild all of them... air-cooled, water-cooled, NA and blown (of course)! Occasionally we even venture into other marques if the owner's passion for the project is extreme.
The folks on here were my inspiration for taking this plunge. Specifically I think Henry and Chris, and the way they supported the community were the reason I had the Field of Dreams moment. There is nothing like them out here on the southern east coast. Hopefully we can build ourselves to that level of respect and knowledge over the coming years.
I want to thank all you guys in the Pelican community for helping me to realize a dream. You are all welcome to come by when you are in town, I'll make sure to always keep a cold one in the cooler just in case a Pelican stops by!
I'd love for you guys to check out our website (www.breitwerks.com) and give me some feedback, either way!
Or you can look us up on Facebook and "like" the page so we can keep in touch that way too.

Thank you all again!!!
Jason Breitfeller
Owner, BreitWerks

Holy crap, you're in Melbourne!!! My dad lives off of Pineda Causeway and has been looking for a wrench desperately. He has a 3.4 996 and should be taking possession of a 996 turbo shortly. He'll be VERY happy to make your acquaintance!

And BTW, I'll come by next Thanksgiving!

Congratulations and good luck with everything!
I'm down the road a little ways in West Palm. If I'm ever in the area I'll stop by.

We are less than 1/2 mile from Pineda Causeway. Maybe 1/4 mile. Lol.

The fact I know where Suntree is makes me laugh. Just take the Wickham Rd. exit...

Oh man... it must have been awhile since you have been here!!! We have a shiny new exit for Pineda right off of I95. I think 53 politicians took credit for it over the last few years. LOL
But, that is one of the reasons we picked this location. Easy peasy to get here.

No, I use that exit to go to my parents house. I just remember the Wickham exit and going by Suntree when I was a kid, maybe 30 years ago! My parents only been there a year, but have had family there since '80.

Good for you!

I have a "retirement" scenario in mind that includes opening a shop specializing in vintage p-car work. Going to make hay here in the financial industry while the sun is shining on me, but eventually getting to work with my hands everyday is very appealing and is a return to my roots - my first job (for many years) I was a bicycle mechanic. Congrats and best of luck.

You guys are the best! Thanks for all the well wishes! Now if I can just figure out how to tell this customer he has metal in his oil filter and the M97 IMS bearing can't be changed without splitting the case! Ugh. Oh well. Thanks again guys!

Have him read up on the M96 failures on the webs and come back the next day. The shock will be over then....
