Slantnose Value

I am curious what the value is on my car. I know the range can be huge and I am not selling but curiosity:

1987 Black/Black Slantnose, sport seats, most options, 65k miles. No mods. No paintwork ever. 2 owners before me so 3 now.

Ugh... I'll bite (only cause I have a true love of the slant nose). Your car is only worth what you are willing to sell it for. I have an '85 factory slant that has had paint work. But it is worth $150k cause that is what it would take to get it out of my care.
So if you are willing to part with it for $35k or $135k than there is your answer sir.
Disregard the bubble...

Curiosity killed the cat!...that's how it begins...the bigger question is...where are the pics of your new car?

DSPTurle said it right...it all depends what you would let it go for...but I'll give it shot. If all is 100% percent(it mostly never is unless it's a museum piece) I would estimate $85-95k as a realistic sold price in today's market. Asking prices will vary. I could be wrong though...just an opinion.

Ha. Car is not here yet. I am having some work done at a local shop where I bought it so it has been waiting in line. Once they finish it will be shipped. And for why am I doing the work there, prices in NH are 1/3 what they are in Florida. I actually have had dreams driving the car so that's as close as I have come to driving it. Not even kidding!

As for my curiosity, I just never see slants for sale and when I do (US, non-grey mkt versions) they are all over the map in terms of price. I guess its the same for all 930's.

TT you didn't give yours away, it was probably the right price at the time of sale. That's not to say I don't understand. I sold my 94 3.6Turbo with 33k miles for much lower than what 930's are selling for today. At the time it was a good sell but if I would have held out a little longer or just kept it...I would have made out, it's worth a small fortune today. In the end all we could do is say we had it and enjoyed it. It was a blissful 3 years for me. The car was very reliable. Oh well..funny part I wish I could say the same about some women in my past..but that's not the case...I miss the car more than the women...lol

I hear you, but still miss da sob.
New one

The one thing about 505s and 3.6s is that they're soooo valuable now and irreplaceable, you can't really drive them anymore. The one big advantage of a conventional 930, a car I love, a museum piece I have no time for anymore.

I'll join the club. Sold my 91 964 turbo with 21k on it back in 09 for less than 930s are selling for as well.

If you recall, pre recession prices for 965 was ~$75K. Once the recession hit they bombed to the $30's just as the 930 bombed to the $20's. I don't think anyone saw this ridiculous rise in value coming so abruptly while we are still in recession, albeit the tail end of it with luck. I bought and sold 2 turbos during that time and had opportunity to buy many more dirt cheap. That's the way it goes, my crystal ball has never been worth a ****, ha!

I learned my lesson. Watch for the next 50th Anniversary of an iconic car manufacturer.
