The Slantnose has arrived!

I bought this car in late November and got it yesterday. Patience is a virtue! Will post more pics once I clean this beast up but very excited to own this unique piece of history.

I second that, even though I choose to stay with the non-slant version of our favorite cars. She's a beaut, for sure! Man, that's a long time to have to wait.....what's the story, you ship it from across the pond or what?

My garage used to look like that until last weekend after pulling out the motor. Gonna have to clean up and re-paint the floor maybe this summer.

Thanks to all. It's a long story but I have a buddy who sells Porsches down here at a large P-dealer. A colleague of his approached him because that guys brother-in-law passed away and his sister needed to sell the car. The car is a 2 owner car although both owners lived near each other and were friends. Has 66k miles. No accidents, no paintwork, no modifications, totally all original and unmolested. Has all receipts I think from day 1 but I have to look through them as there is a huge folder and I'm not sure how far back they go. The guy loved this car.

Anyway, it needed an engine out service which I had performed up by him in NH and due to some delays and then the never-ending snow I had to wait nearly 3 months. I need to clean the hell out of it and then will post pictures. I sit in it all the time. Love the sport seats!

ah, that makes it more clear - you'd been kavetchin about whether or not to sell your low miles '86 (IIRC the year) or your 996tt and opted to broom the 930 in favor of a dedicated track car or something

and then

posted one day you bought this

didn't add up and seemed odd 8-)

Awesome story, hope you scored it for a song heh heh. Super nice example, and yes sport seats FTMFW!

Congrats, and enjoy! Def more pics when you can.

ps. snow... yeah... EFFEWE!!! It suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks up here in CT, and NH is getting hit even harder. Totally sucks.

Ha. Now my 996TT is for sale again!!! Although I am more inclined to keep it and make it more reliable track-wise so I am not aggressively marketing it. This car threw my plans out the window. But....I got this car for a price that I could not say no to so I am back at my previous situation only a little better.
