Picture request - stock 930 intercooler to carrera intake
Looking for a picture of a clean turbo setup utilizing a 3.2 carrera intake. Trying to figure out the best way to route the tubing, do most people cut and re-weld the throttle body location to face towards the intercooler?

I'd say most people shiite-can the factory I/C and go full bay when using the 3.2 intake. |

One guy's shoe horn into a duck tail. I/C is slightly tilted and set in towards the front.
3.2converted into 3.4 turbo. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427484497.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427484553.jpg Same idea if you want to use a 930 I/C. Hope this helps. Johan |

Do not waste your time with the factory I/C. They are junk... It would actually be more efficient to have Richard Simmons blowing on your intake, then run the stock I/C...... |
FWIW, my full bay I/C from Bell Intercoolers, costs less than half new, then what the Koklen does....

originally i turned the tb around and relinked cable to it,the cable length had to be modded ended up getting a 3.3tb then it was easy to go together:p ***there is foil for oil,air and gas cooling it is very efficient*** http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427822707.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427822888.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427823349.jpg |
Intake
Here is an old photo of a Flipped intake. I will be doing this as well. Cut & welded by Clewett.

This is interesting and pertinent to the OP's discussion. Since you are using the 3.2 intake with the 3.3 turbo throttle body, this could be used when converting a 3.2 NA to turbo? I take it that this is a direct bolt-on conversion? Can you 'splain me Lucy some details, or are there any posts how to do this? Are there any other special changes besides bolting one on? It seems that this would be the simplest way to go, when adding turbo with IC to a 3.2, or no?? Jaysus, this Pelican site is never dull! Thanks for any input. |
Baloo, Robbie's intake manifold is NOT the 3.2 manifold he says it is. It's the typical 3.3 flat one. Nothing complicated here. It's the simplest method but it's not the one requested in the original request.

Aw shucks (ref. Robbie's not a 3.2 intake).
Is it possible to do a Turbo TB on a 3.2 intake?? |
Here's a couple shots of my car that might work.

Menmojo - Very nice! What power are you making?
Oh and OP, no one goes to the effort of switching to a 3.2 intake then uses the stock intercooler. It's a POS. |

My car ran 733 RWHP on the Dyno at 23 psi of boost and 115 octane fuel. That was a one time run. I keep the boost at .8 bar on the street and it still has crazy power. It's easily 600+ with the boost turned down. Here's a video I've posted before of the Dyno run http://youtu.be/eB-Tuw_3dtA |
