Stock wheels for 1976 930

Just curious how I could tell if the wheels I have are matched with my car.

There's number on the inside, but I'm not sure what they signify.

911361020 [44]
AS1062 __ 28139

I can take some pics, but just want to make sure I have the right wheels for the car before I get them refinished and new tires.

Thanks in advance!

Aren't those 16" x 7"? Then the answer is no. Original for a '76 are 15" , 7"/8" widths front and rear, with a 8/75 - 7/76 date code.

Oh ok. Thanks! Got a PM too saying that they were supposed to be 15s. Thanks for the quick replies! Guess I'll have to check for the 15s.

I have a set, albeit with later date codes, if that matters to you. They need restoration.

Maybe. I'll let you know. I think I know who's car they're on.. and I hope it was an "honest mistake", but these are spray painted black. And it looked like it was red underneath, but didn't want to do anything with them until I was sure. Thanks for the offer and help though!

You are correct, 911361020 is a 16 inch '79 930 Fuch wheel. The Porsche Catalogue lists it as a '76 15"

So, here's more info, but it's looking like these are the wrong wheels.

Car date is 04/76

2 wheels:
911361020 [44] 16 x 7
AS1062_28139a
2779 / 2879 (date codes I'm guessing)
205 55 16 Yokohama A408 tires on them

2 wheels:
911361020 [45] 16 x 8
AS1062_28139a
3479 / 3579 (date codes)
225 50 16 Yokohama A408 tires on them

There's also a:
"VAN KENSHAW"
"129 1010"

etched on each wheel. Handwritten in the wheel.

I'll check the other set to see if they're a better match.

U R Correct - Porsche PET lists it as a 15" Fuch in error. I should have caught the '79 p/n. Mea culpa.

I own two early serial # 76 930 and dates codes from original wheels go from 11/74-10/75, I would think later serial numbers cars could have date codes as late or later as 5/76. The turbo's were built in much smaller numbers so the date code spread on wheels is much wider than a normal 911, this was conformed by a conversation with Harvey Weidman that just restored both set of wheels for mine.
