Help with odometer needed

Took the 930 for a run today and the odometer stopped. The speedometer still works fine, but the milaege travelled has stopped. I was wondering is it electrical or mechanical. My 930 is 1988 model, 95,000kl on the odometer. Do i need to check something electrical. If its mechanical odometer, how do i pull the speedo/ odometer out of the dash. Any help guys greatly appreciated.

There's a plastic gear that turns the odometer. It disintegrates over time and needs to be replaced. You can fix it yourself or send it out for repair. The gauge is just pressed into the dash ( the rubber grommet holds it in).

That's a good writeup.

I'll be needing to do the same some day. There's also somebody on YouTube that posted a video of it.
Ken, the entire gauge just pulls out from the front of the dash

I found it easier to pull the clock out first then push/pull the speedometer out.
