Passport Auto Transport or Intercity Lines?
Or does it matter? Moving a car from Texas, just wondering if anyone has experience with both companies? I think they are both top notch but looking for any input. Both quotes are within $100. Thanks.

Great companies. What about Reliable? I have been using them more often as they come in at under the two mentioned consistently.

I have used Intercity a dozen times and always been very pleased. Drivers seem to be car guys. They traverse the nation back and forth, so one question to ask will be how often your car will be moved. Obviously the less the better but again these guys are real pros. I have seen some very high dollar cars tucked away behind mine!

I think I will talk to both Intercity and Passport. If Intercity is good enough for Jay Leno it's good enough for me. But I'll give Passport a call, sometimes the underdog will go the extra mile to give you extra good service. Thanks for the feedback.

I've used Intercity many times, they are fantastic. Highly recommended. As others have said nearly all the drivers are "car guys" (or gals) and they're very meticulous and professional about transporting fine automobiles.
Passport has a pretty good reputation but I have no direct experience. I've also used Horseless Carriage previously which was good. But now I only use Intercity whenever I need to transport one of my cars long distance.

I had a horrible experience with Passport. After a month of promising to pick up my car, innumerable excuses and way too much to write down here (PM me if you just have to know), I gave up. I called Intercity, they said they did not do the arc I needed (Michigan-Texas) and told me to use Thomas Sunday. Kudos to Intercity to giving me a referral, and kudos to Thomas Sunday for doing a great job. I have used a number of carriers over the years.
I will never, ever, use Passport. If you want to experience the worst carrier I have ever used, go for it. |

Thanks. Seems like everyone has had a bad experience with someone. I haven't heard anything bad about Intercity Lines though. Just waiting for the damn bank to clear the funds, 7 business days for an out of state official bank check to clear?

Intercity, use this link to get a quote, they were only a couple hundred more than my open carrier quotes.

I did go with Intercity but pick up is 2-3 weeks out. I could not be available for delivery starting 4/29 for five days so that affected p/u scheduling.

A car I bought is finally being loaded today at the seller's. This is the first time I've used a transporter. Is it customary to give the driver a tip if you're happy with the service? What kind of %? Thanks.

Intercity did a great job for me. Driver Randy and his wife are first rate. To give you an idea of what caliber of cars they are entrusted with, the car above my '88 930 slant conversion was this 1934 Packard Twelve by Dietrich that sold for a world record $4.18 mill at RM's auction of the Andrew's collection in Ft. Worth. Maybe some of that rubbed off on my car.
