It should be quite a learning curve over driving my C2 for all these years on the track. Less weight far more power and torque and a full cage which should stiffen things up a bit not to mention all the solid bushings and mono balls although those numbers will be figured out after the event since i have no time to get it on the dyno before.

Thanks for posting the pics for me SAY - 642. Hase been busy couple of weeks.

There will be changes needed once i have a chance to give it a run in. Always a compromise when you have two drivers for one car and my wife and I are very different in size. I am considering a seat insert for next year vs removing the cushion so I can sit lower but for now it is what it is.

I am starting off with a mild suspension. I had a set of NLA H&R Super cup suspension running 455/ 685 estimated weight is around 2600 pounds.

I will post weights gear ratios etc as soon as I have the time. Right now just trying to double check everything for safety.

So I had my first event this weekend at the Glen.

The car is very fast handles amazingly well and has incredible brakes when they work.

Unfortunately I am having issues with the pump for the electro hydraulic brakes cutting out which is not much fun. I was hauling into turn 10 when suddenly I lost pressure. I had to stand on the peddle but it was enough to get me slow enough to get through the turn but this must be fixed before the next event. Otherwise for a complete ground up build everything else was perfect first time out. I have no doubt once i have a chance to learn this car and not worry about losing power brakes this will be a stupid fast car.

I found that after letting a 997.2 GT3 pass me in the carrossel and he had gained several car lengths that once the car was straight and I put the pedal to the floor I was able to gain ground on him even though he was carrying more speed and was at WOT.

It will be a while before I get to truly get to know the car as i need to in order to push it to its limits. Of course that will be a much quicker learning curve once i have consistent power brakes.

Here is a picture of my wife in the paddock and me going down the front straight. More info on rennlist.

Very cool!
Wondering who you were running with at the Glen, I am there usually there with a BMW club.
My car is a generation older and still weighs in at 2880 but it might be fun to arrange to be at the Glen one weekend in 2016 on the new pavement! Maybe the Zone 1 event?
Cheers,
Dave

Can't wait to see what all the changes will be like. One of my favorite tracks and they are dumping a ton of money into it. Never know what next season will bring but i plan on doing multiple Glen events and as many east coast tracks that I can make the time for. Was just up at Palmer. Interesting track but has a long way to go. Lightning and VIR with NNJR for this season and I might have a couple of open track days at NJMP with a friend. Can't believe September is already half over.

I am open to Zone 1 next year have to verify there are no conflicts but have been meaning to do that event for years. It's all fun but will take the rest of the season before I have the confidence to use the cars power properly. There is a climbing turn at Palmer that was quite fun and under full power you can feel the rear R7's doing a series of controlled even slips.

Is that Dave in the BMW behind you Dave?

For sure looking forward to the improved Glen. When Mosport replaced the concrete patches with new asphalt we all dropped at least a few seconds so we are going to have fun on the new surface in 2016!

I also enjoyed Palmer and similar wheel spin up that hill.

Two more Mosport weekends and my season is over. A long distance trip down to COTA in Austin means no VIR for me this year. Never been to Lightning, NNJR or NJMP.

and I don't know if that's Dave behind me,
Dave

I'm not sure i understand the question. these are the front side lights with brake ducts.

these are a dark tint and came from Automotion IIRC the ducts I have had for years

sorry if I missed it but I am also curious about the color.

pretty sure I will have my 930 project painted some color of blue.

considering the candy blue that is on my '83 Honda CB1100F. but leaning toward finding some Porsche factory Blue I like.

incredible job.

Close they are all in the same family. It is actually Maritime blue. I was leaning towards Acid or Arrow but maritime is one of the 6 standard colors that the 3.8RS/RSR was offered in so I decided sine it was a tribute I would do it right.

The color really grabs a lot of attention.

Thank BTW
