Clutch bleed mystery
Per my last post, I was able to re-bleed my clutch system and get back the ability to disengage the clutch and get into gear (thought it was something more serious)..but after a day or so, the problem reappears and it appears the slave is losing pressure .....so, I replaced the master and slave - and still have the same problem.
Problem - Each time I bleed small air bubbles come out initially......wait 2 min and re-bleed, small air bubbles again???? (hose is submersed in fluid entire time) Procedure - Motive pressure bleeder filled with fluid (just to be sure) set to 15psi - Remove slave and elevate bleed valve (to highest pt) - Submerse bleed hose in fluid to watch for any air bubbles - Bleed for 10 sec (steady stream after initially air bubbles) Clutch Pedal and System - Remains hard entire time - No leaks anywhere (everything new except flexible hose) I'm stumped! |

Can you depress the clutch and hold it down overnight?
Look for leaks Also could be drawing air in from the hose that goes from the resivoir to master. Not real likely. But possible. |

Yes....I made a clamp to hold the pedal down. Should I bleed the next day with it "down"?
Why would there be a stream of little bubbles each time i crack the bleeder with 2 min in between...every time. Thoughts? |
