What is this

What is this red rubber covered device, and is it missing a connection? There appear to be two terminals, only one has a connection to it.

That is the sending unit for the stock, boost pressure gauge, and it's wired correctly in your pic (nothing goes on the screw terminal).

I've often wondered why Porsche used this particular unit with the extra post. Probably from some other brand of auto machine where it's location would not provide suitable ground. A person could hook that extra post to ground, but not necessary in our case.
