Track Day Test
So I took the car to the track this weekend (The Ridge Motorsport Park in Shelton, wa) to open her up.
The first time at the track with the turbo I wanted to be able to turn the boost down to a much lower setting than what it was dyno'ed at, thus the reason I installed a MBC with a .3 bar spring. The .5 bar spring netted me 360whp (@ nearly 10psi). I don't recall the rule of thumb on hp/psi increase/decrease formula is but with the MBC at it's lowest setting, it'll give me about 7.5psi (or closer to a 'true' half a bar of boost). The conditions were a bit wet and I wasn't comfortable 'pushing' to the edge. The video below shows my quickest lap of (the before) 2:04 in hot, dry conditions while chasing another, faster 911. (Mark Albrecht) While my lap in the turbo was a bit slower (2.05.xx) (I got hung up on T12 trying to pass) I'm still learning how to feather in the new, available HP. It's still entertaining to watch the differences.... Here's another:

Track is great! Can't beat freshly paved asphalt. Lots of fun ups and downs and a blind corner or two.

Mine's apart for complete rebuild due to shattered rings on all 6 cylinders. That's what you get with high compression, high boost, single plug.

When I bought the car it was running 1 bar boost on 8.5:1 compression on single plugs. As soon as I bought it I dropped boost to 0.5 bar, but I think the rings were already shot at that point. I did not have a leakdown done prior to purchase, so that is on me. It was an impulse ebay buy.
