blue smoke

On over run = valve guides? Happens between gear shifts - puff of smoke, and downshifts under brakes.
Any other potential source? My leak down numbers are between 93 and 98%. One at 93, rest 96-98.
Thanks
Alan

I had blue smoke on acceleration. Opened her up, changed valve stem on one cylinder, then closed her up. All was good after that. Yours is on decel and downshifts. Not sure if that will be stems.

Here`s the cylinder in question when i removed the headers. Good one to compare.

I had issues with the valve seals when installing. Some of them didn't seem to snug tight - I could pull them off again after pushing them on. I was a bit scared to wack them too hard. The heads were 2nd hand ones I purchased and ported, but the valves/guides seemed in better condition than what I was running. The leakdowns I think are OK - new rings. One cyl may not have bedded in completely. Had another at 93% that has come up to 98 with last track run. I'm thinking valve area on over run, rather than rings?
Regards
Alan
