Project Singer roll cage....project lost my mind
So in the process of a new build and could not make a decision. I have went back and forth between painting the roll cage body color, having it chromed, or leaving it black.
So, whats left? Why not wrap it in leather....I had no idea it was going to take this long, but this is probably why three local upholstery shops turned me down. First step was to cut leather strips about 1/4" thinner then what you measure around so you can pull it tight. I would imagine this would change depending on stiffness of leather. Tolls needed... ![]() I did not take pics of this process, but next you take that little prickly wheel and straight edge, and run it down the sides about 4mm in for the edge. Then, start stitching,... ![]() ![]() ![]()

That's awesome work. I was happy to pay a guy $500 to do all that for me. I didn't have a roll age though.
That cars going to be sick. My guess is you ditched the 965 bodywork and went longhood? That would be hilarious! You my friend are insane! I'm so excited to see what's next.

Nice Job! Is the steering wheel next? I'd be interested in that, as mine needs it.
What brand is the roll bar - looks well made. -C
