Two days working on the 930 :)
Thought i`d just show a little bit what i work on. Not really interesting but if you are bored....
My workspace 10km from my appartment. Yes, i have to ride my bike so it`s a 20km roundtrip  http://i.imgur.com/I71m8bN.jpg On the list is: Checking fuel system Fueltank check and respray AC delete Electric system fixes Engine oil leaks Transmission oil leaks and some other snacks :D First i had a special surprise. Not really a good one: http://i.imgur.com/x4kwd6M.jpg http://i.imgur.com/kdvfeBR.jpg http://i.imgur.com/qNGWRgM.jpg http://i.imgur.com/zPfBrfn.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6Ysnx86.jpg This is the wires i see connected to the fusebox: http://i.imgur.com/jyC1cSW.jpg This might be a problem. It`s an alarm from the 70s and it`s connected but not operating at all i think. Never knew it was there and not mentioned when i bought it 7 years ago. |
Does this look right? Am going to do the fuel pump fuse fix thingy and fuse both relays separate.
http://i.imgur.com/BWfEvKu.jpg Almost all the AC out. Rear hoses go out when the engine does and not cut into it yet. The bottom of the thing in the smugler box left :D http://i.imgur.com/b8uvLFU.jpg Fuel tank out and so is the pump for testing. Just need to figure out how :D http://i.imgur.com/77zsv6O.jpg ANyway, have a great halloweenweekend and chime in if you have a comment. Always muchos appreciated! |
Looks like someone did a smoke test on the #3 fuse!
|

I'm not familiar enough with the wiring upgrade to give you any help. I'm sure someone else can though. That's a good looking car.
|
due to cracked muffler and hot exhaust damage to engine bay wiring, planning to completely replace the engine bay wiring harness in my 930 build. that was the cause of it not running and why I got the project so lots of crispy stuff back there.
has twin plug and old electromotive ign, so also want to upgrade to something with more tuning and timing retard control flexibility. also planning to replace the fuse panel. I exchanged emails with Dennis Powell, aka Timmy2 on PP, who does wiring harnesses and Fred Cook who makes new fuse panels with new spade fuses. good luck. PS when I removed all the AC stuff, 52lbs. |
You're basically rewiring the 30 pin on each fuel pump relay to it's own ato fuse so proceed as you would. Clean and solder splices for best results
|
Bought a new one?
Still have The white one? |
Any interest in selling some of the AC Parts?
|
Trond, i never had a white one ;) I wish though but prices are through the roof so not happening any time soon.
jpilcher, i might just do that for a couple reasons. My 930 is not really a collectors car with it just over 200k km and if it`s ever sold originality is out the window for better parts ages ago. Also AC in Norway is such a waste. If there are days that are hot i really like feeling the heat and instead open windows and sunroof. Never understood us norwegians complaining all year about how cold it is and the moment it reaches 20c we complain also and put an AC to work. Anywho, i`ll think about it. |
Thanks.

Don't know where u are with the Ungo Box... but I have IT in my car, and once upon a time I try to disconnect IT and created such a mess that put it back like it was... it took many hrs and several techs to figure it out... That freaking box controls the fuel pumps, ignition, alarm system and transmitter to a mini receiver you put in your pocket with a range of 50m...
Anyway, leave that thing alone!!! |
Ive never seen the handheld controller in my 7 years ownership. I read somewhere that this might be a problem. No idea on how its wired?
Could you be so kind to let me know where its connected in the fusebox. I have one grey insulated multiwire loose in my trunk. No idea where to connect it :( I know one grey with three wires are in fuse # 8-9 if i remember correctly. |
