What was your A/F ratio at the top end? How about the duty cycle on those injectors? Super cool build!

afr was at 11. we left the static fuel pressure at 60, and the turbo is a garrett gt40 with a billet wheel per chris carrol recommendation. duty cycle was at 88, which will go down at 65 static pressure

Not saying it is bad or low, just the increase in hp didn't match the boost increase indicating either turbine or compressor choke or both. Your engine is nasty! ![]() |

One thing that might be hurting you on that dyno is the fan sitting behind the car blowing the exhaust back into the engine bay. When I dynoed my car we put the fan facing down on the intercooler to avoid ingesting bad air. If you notice engine dyno rooms usually have a fresh air tube feeding the carb or TB as contaminated air (carbon monoxide) kills power. That might be why, out on the road with fresh air getting to the turbo, she felt realllllly fast.......... BTW, nice job guys. Wish I was down there to take a ride in the rocket ship

I wanted to close the decklid and strap the turbo fan onto the back window pointing down at the motor... Next time I guess |

Speaking of hot climate areas, I ran with your idea of a blocking plate for the cabin intake (made out of very thin sheet steel, hand cut & formed, painted flat black = cannot tell it is there once installed beneath the original screen and frame) - very pleased with zero outside air entering at highway speeds. Great idea - thanks! |
