Boosting too high issue.
My turbo 3.2 has been boosting too high recently and I'm not sure why. I'm running a Tial wastegate with a pressure feed line coming from the turbo to the side port. The top post is just left unconnected. It's a U.S spec 3.2, so I'm running a .5 bar spring. It normally boosts between 7 and 8 psi, but lately its been going to 9 and on my last test run at 6000 rpm it was 10. It was only for a second on a cold night, so I dont think I hurt anything, but I need to fix this. Any ideas?

Sounds like boost creep. What headers are you running?

They are the OBX headers. Yes I know they have a bad rep, but I've had this configuration since I turboed the car in late 2011 and only noticed it recently. I pulled the wastegate and the base gasket appears to have been leaking. Not sure if that could be a cause? |
Yup

You guys are killin me, lol. I actually do have the turbo tail even painted and ready to go. I usually switch back and forth, but now I'm gonna keep the duck on just to piss you guys off. :D |
Rod, I think I'm the only one who has given you a hard time (not like THAT ) about the duck, butt regardless, duck or not, you've got a nice, big ass !

Ha! Reminds me of the last cars and coffee I went to. A couple of young guys were walking by the rear of the car and one guy goes. "damn! I love them sweet wide hips" Maybe you had to be there, but it was pretty funny.

It's as if the cars are asking for some "smack dat' azz", right!?!? :) |
