Stock fender oil cooler: Which Fan

So which aftermarket fan are you guys using? I'm planning to put one in with a switch and relay.

The elephant/patrick motorsport and other kits have a fan that is too large in diameter

Get new horns like the hella supertones that are little disks instead of the long trumpets

Get the later inner fender strut brace

fabricate a bracket for the new horns not the porsche bracket which is not available anyway right now

I don't like their wiring diagram though. Add a fuse where the main power comes off the batt. their diagram has a long unfused + wire.

I got one from either Summit Racing or Jegs, online, many years ago. It came with a thermostat, so once calibrated, correctly, you don't need to worry about a switch. Measure the width of the cooler and just order the one that fits. If you position it on the rear of the cooler, make sure you purchase one that sucks the air through the cooler.

I don't remember if I had to adjust the horns, or not. It's been too long ago.

Thanks. Gonna measure and order a Spal puller and a Derale adjustable thermostat (from Amazon). Curious, what fitting did you use for the thermostat probe?

I only remember that it had a two or three inch long thin probe that slid in the cooler's fins. I placed it next to a vein where oil was flowing. I don't remember how I secured it...Maybe I didn't. The kit that I purchased had its own inline fuse/relay, too.
