Fitting Test

Before I bought the new Turbo was clear to me that I have to make some modification.

- Oil feed restrictor
- compressor inlet / outlet modification
- T3 / T31 muffler fitting issues

This will solve your compressor inlet issue:

4.0

I bet you'll love that thing! The hp numbers I've seen from these are huge. Can't wait to hear the results!

I'm sort of surprised PTE doesn't make some kind of direct fit replacement or close for the Triple K 3LDZ 930 application. Market is probably way too small now, though.

That's an understatement!

930 is a tiny, tiny market, then you have those trying to keep originality plus those who feel nothing holds up as long as a triple-K.

There's only losses to sell to the 930 market.

Not to mention that those weenies don't drive the cars or care about its performance anyway - not much need for a good turbocharger when the car spends all its time parked in a garage and wrapped in a dust cover! :D

That turbo does look freekin bad to the bone, looking forward to hearing the difference between this one and the one you just took off.

You are a fact stater ;)

Tada! Keep on working Thomas, hope to see some info about performance soon.

Missed an earlier pic. I'd get the proper 4" to whatever size that black inlet pipe is in silicone adapter.

Your anti-surge ports might do something funky????

Don't think you can leave those ports open like that???

RarlyL8 08-15-2016 04:48 AM

Yes looks like a custom inlet pipe is next.
What do you anticipate the characteristics of this turbo will be on your engine with the mods you have in place? I notice it is not split plenum, do they offer that option?

as I met Thomas last week I can say, yes, pipe and more is custom. Regarding split plenum (means twin scroll, right?)I guess it's because of the Fabspeed headers, don't know if Thomas did not want for some reason or Fabspeeds aren't available. I am sure he will post some info about soon.

I also hope for good results, I'm going now a new way with that turbo.
Turbine outlet size 2mm bigger as a K27/7200 and Compressor inlet size is 3mm smaller as my K27/29 with the 61mm Holset. Hope i love the duall ceramic ball bearing too.
