Turbo scavenging pump part missing?
I am rebuilding a 3.3 turbo from a disassembled motor found Craigslist. I' m installing the turbo oil scavenging pump but suspect I am missing a part that connects the oil pump drive to the the drive belt pulley between here...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1475333923.jpg
And here.. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1475333947.jpg Also, what is the safest way to remove and install the drive pin from the oil pump in order to replave the oil seal? Thank you Ray |
the socket head cap screw heads engage with the drive pin. If you use cams without th drive boss then you install roll pins inthe end of the cam and delete the pulley housing.

Thanks for the prompt reply, Ken. So acceleration/deceleration causes the pin to flip back & forth between the heads of the cap screws? Doesn't that wear cap screw heads and pin out?
|
They wear but dont wear out usually. You can obtain a replacment pin here on pelican.

someone here posted a while back where to get a replacment pin. Dont remeber if it was a porsche part number or it was a standard size. They were only a few cents a piece though.
