New wheels for my 1978 930, some advise?

Hi

Looking at new wheels to my 1978 930 and could need some advise from you guys.

Like the wheels i got today, but need big spacers to use them. Cant remember but i guess the spacers are 2" or more.
Would like to buy new ones so i could remove the spacers, or at least buy smaller spacers.

I could need some advise to find new wheels, but also which offset i should use on the new one.
the ones i got today is 18", and i think i will go for 18" on the new one also, but i would like 8,5" in front and 10 or 11" wide rear.

First a pic of the car as it is today

I like the lip at the rear wheels, but it could be bigger on the new ones.

Really like the Work brombacher wheels on this car. Anybody knows the dimension on these wheels?

I also like these two wheels.

If anybody has something to sell am i very interested

Also open for link to pages that sell wheels for my car. Don't need to be originals as long as the quality are good

Thank you, and sorry for the bad english.
Best regards Tor Erik

Your existing wheels look like 3 piece. Why not get correctly sized barrels?

Because of your bad english (missed one comma) this is my interpretation of your question. Yes, paint the car pink!!

Seriously though, nice car.

Personally i look at Braid wheels doing Fuchs replica. Also wide ones! 18x12 (ones i look at) Got quoted 9400,- swedish inkl tax for one 18x12. On it ASAP! Going 8x16 original front.
Those gold rims look like Rotas and they are gorgeous looking but need of adapter to fit. Btw, dont say Rota in this place! You`ll be posting in Siberia if you do. Cold!

17 is the norm around here but even with 17" it's getting dicy finding tires. 17x 9 and 11".
Look at fikse for custom.

Personally and especially to have one more wide selection of tyre because 17 " is now very limited, if I had to one day put other wheel rims they would be 18x8.5 and 18x11, for of 235 and 295 sportcup2. I adore Ascari at LOMA.

I have rufs to sell but shipping and taxes are bad. With 17in wheels you have toyoR888 with 275 and 315 wide with very good grip.

The bottom two cars likely have RH wheels (made in Germany). They make a replica of the Speedline wheels found on the 1994 Turbo 3.6. Their website (or at least the version for America) indicates they have a figment already figured out for the 930.

Not to plug my own thread but I have a set of ADV.1's for sale:

FS: ADV.1 5RS 18" - 930 and 911 WB Fitment

They are 18" perfect fitment for a 930. Have Toyo R888's with 255/315's mounted.

They would be striking on a white car.

Thanks for good response on my questions
Will check out the tip from you guys.
I would change the barrels if it was possible, but these are copy wheels of some kind, and the bolts are made of plastic. Cant remember the brand, but not original 3 piece wheels.

I could easily go for 17" instead but haven't found the right wheels yet. So i should go for 9"-11" if i chose 17"?

Feel free to put in pics and dimension of your wheels and please add your offset.
No problem for me with a small spacer, but today I have the original spacer and then another one on top of that.
I can't remember since i don't have the car here, but i think offset on the rear wheels are something of 50.

And No, i think i would keep it white and not paint it Pink

You should go 9" - 11" regardless of wheel diameter.

Those are nice wheels. The front offsets are set up for an early 930 not late model car. These would not work on the OP's car.

Hi Chris,
Your wheels are very beautiful.
You could please give me the weight (kg) of a front wheel and a back, thank you!
I agree with you for 11 "in the back, but I think that to optimize the weight 8.5" is sufficient.

Pat
