Yes I'll do it as soon as I can sit at a desk and manually draw one out....

Yes Sensors connect to sensor return PIN#18 Sensor Return "White Connector on MS3pro"

Injectors and fast idle valve do not get grounded to block.

One pin on Injectors get +12 volts from fuse block. The other pin is a ground signal to fire injector which comes from ms3pro. PIN# 1,2,4,6,8,10 "Grey Connector on MS3pro."

Fast idle valve gets power on center pin (3 wire connector). The other pins get idle pwm signals from ms3pro. Pwm is always switched on the ground side of a pwm controlled device.

On my setup I am using:

Pin#14 PWM (idle out) "White Connector on MS3pro" to one side of the idle valve

+12 volts from fuse block to center pin of idle valve

Pin#29 PWM out2 "White Connector on MS3pro" to other side of idle valve

The 3 wire idle valve works by varying the duty cycle on two opposed coils in the idle valve. In theory lets say you have 50% duty cycle on each of the opposing coils and the valve is closed. When you apply lets say 51% duty cycle on one side and 49% on the other side the valve opens slightly. Apply 52% and 48% the valve opens a little more and so on and so on.

Nocarrier is correct. The injectors and idle valve are grounded through the MS3Pro.

I am sure xbmwguy will chime in, but I believe he wired both logic inputs for the dual coils to each MS3X spark output. There has been a lot of debate about whether the MS3X spark outputs could handle the current for two coils. But it has apparently worked well for him with these Toyota COP's. It all depends on the input impedance of the coil's logic circuit. Toyota (Denso) will work. Other brands may not. Also, I have heard that the MS3Pro spark outputs can handle more current than the MS3X.

The ms3pro can handle 200ma of current on their 5v logic level outputs.

The BOSCH bip373 ignition driver tranistor designed especially for ignition and used in a lot of coils only draws about 25ma max to trigger (typical 5-12ma)

That would mean 8 drivers one one channel!

I have no idea what the toyota logic level input draws exactly but we split the signal with no issues.

One day I will hook my scope up to one and get the data.

Dennis you are spot on. The ms3 pro does have more output for coils. I went ms3x as I thought I would need all the expand ability it offered but I'm barely scratching the surface. Oh well it's working just fine

Should I run shield wire for Cam Sensor? The roll I show up above is 2 wire for the crank sensor.

Regards

John

I ran both crank and cam with shielded. Unlike using ford EDIS which needs a ground on the cam sensor shield I decided to do it to help alleviate noise

Yes, shield the cam trigger. Used Denso is fine, IMO, they make the best auto electronics.

You should ground one end (source end) of the shielded cable. This provides a drain from the Faraday effect from the emi produced by the signal wires. Without this drain you can induce unwanted noise on the signal wires. Grounding both sides of the shield can induce potential differences.
