TK Injector Blocks - Gasket order?
What's the order of installation of the gaskets with the TK injector blocks. They come with 12 intake gaskets so I assume that's all I need. I've installed in this order:
Cylinder head - Gasket - Spacer Block - Injector Block - Gasket - Intake Manifold Correct? |
That is correct as long as the spacer you mention is the phenolic insulator. There is no gasket between the insulator and the injector block.
I have them too and asked Chris that exact question and he confirmed the above is correct. |
Excellent, thanks Jeff.
Getting excited, hopefully I'll have a first start tomorrow afternoon with the FrankenCIS. :D |
Sweet! Be sure to get a video!
Here is mine that made my daughter's videography skills semi-famous around here: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/8616339-post126.html |
take notice of how the gaskets fit.
flip the intake over place the gaskets on it. you will see one way there is very little gasket at the edge of the port. flip it the other way and it is a little better,. I found that the gaskets do not go on the same direction for the right side as for the left. at least this is how it was for mine, you have a gasket on the head, then the insulator, the block, then another gasket. |
