should i tint my rear window

I have already done my side windows but I have heard that you cant track a car with tinted windows.
my side windows are 20%, I was thinking maybe a little lighter for the rear.
I have the seats out now and it would be much easier to do but I may want to take it to a track some day.

All of my windows are tinted and I track the car. When exiting the track we are to hold our fist out the window. Giving the point by for other drivers to pass is hand out the window as well. You can always check with your local tracks/sanctions, but I've never been told I couldn't drive on a track because of my window tint being too dark.

When tracking in PCA DE you need to keep your front window's down for point by's

ok, thanks.

I was thinking of doing one of those SCCA driver classes and I looked in their rule book and I think it said something about tinted windows

I'm not sure about SCCA rules, but I run with NASA and have never been hassled about my tint. You could email someone over at SCCA, but maybe also check out the local NASA HPDE for driving instruction.

if you are racing it, I would leave em clear, if you are in the south, you may need tint....its hot in Texas!!!

its hot here too. I don't drive it when it gets that hot because of sun damage, but I still would like protection for the rear panel.

its now on the list.
got my baking plates back so now I can finish the wheel bearings.
once the window is done the seats and auto heat can go back in
then on to finishing the brakes. ordered new seals. I did not like the way the pistons moved, or did not move, with the old seals. just could not get all of them to move freely.
found just the seals for about $4 each. scrapers look fine.
I go the seal replaced on the shift rod for the tranny. had to remove the rear of it to get the old one out.
then valve adjustment, try to do a flow test on the injectors then I think that is it.

I have 20% on the sides, was thinking of 35% on the rear. I had a spare piece of 20 and laid it on the rear and man, it was really dark. but that was in my garage
